bELINDA cOOPER
Business owner

Hi, I’m Belinda, owner of Belinda’s Hair Creations. I have been hairdressing for over 38 years.  I started operating Belinda’s Hair Creations when I was in the 2nd year of my apprenticeship, and the year 2023 marked my businesses 35th Birthday. Over the years I have attended many training courses, and still continue to train regularly. In 2016 I went to Amsterdam with Keune, where I completed my Keune International Master Colourist accreditation, which is one of the highlights of my career. My passion to become a hairdresser came from my mum. I used to go to work with her every Saturday morning to help out, and just loved being in the salon from my early teens. I obtain my inspiration from many different Master Stylists from all over the world, and I’m constantly looking at ways of challenging myself to further my skills. I love to inspire, motivate & train my team to deliver exceptional customer service along with the ability/skills to turn out amazing hair. I’m excited by colouring & cutting, and love the technical challenge of a good Colour Correction. As well as investing in my team, I have stepped into the role of an educator one day a week at West Wollongong TAFE. It's a privilege to see the next generation of our industry grow in their passion & skills. I am in the salon, working on the floor Thursday through to Saturday.

Hi, my name is Hannah. I started my apprenticeship in 2020 at 16 years old for Belinda after working for her as a Salon Assistant for over 12months.
My love for hairdressing began well before any in salon experience. I love all aspects of hairdressing especially colour.
​Whether you are after a blonde, brown, bright, or pastel I am here for you.
I have had the immense privilege of representing Australia Internationally as the 2024 Hairdressing Skillaroo for Worldskills, in Lyon France. 
I love that hairdressing is now being recognised and appreciated as an art form that allows others to express themselves through their look and style that I have helped them create. 
I am in salon full time and looking forward to meeting you all!

ALEX COONEY
​SENIOR STYLIST

Hi, my name is Alex and I've been a senior stylist ay Belinda's Hair Creations since march of 2019. My love of hair began in 2003, when I commenced my apprenticeship in Sydney CBD. I then moved to the Illawarra in 2011, after meeting my husband. I have a passion for all aspects of hairdressing and enjoy attending education courses, as it inspires and motivates me to keep up to date with the latest trends. I have completed countless Keune courses, including my Blonde Degree. I am also in the process of doing my Master Stylist & aim to complete my Colour Degree next year. I am available in the salon Wednesday through to Saturday, and look forward to welcoming all our beautiful clients, both new and existing!

Alicia Matthews
Senior STYLIST

Hi, I’m Alicia and I have been hairdressing for over 25 years. I started at Belinda’s Hair Creations as a second year apprentice, and worked there for around 9 years before going off to have my family....Chase, Levi and Harlow. I am now back as part of team BHC and work Wednesday, Friday and every 2nd Saturday at this stage.  I specialize in Up-styling / Wedding hair & Perming and I promise to deliver you something special, unique and most importantly, something personalised. I love keeping up to date with the latest trends in the hair industry, and couldn’t imagine doing anything else. The one person I have looked up to throughout my career is Belinda... that might sound corny and I know the rest of the team will pay me out lol, but it’s true. Look forward to seeing you all in the salon. X

JAKYLAH ZONNEVELD
sENIOR sTYLIST

Hi, I'm Jakylah but please call me Jak. I joined the team in March 2022 after a very undertrained start to my career in another salon. I love and appreciate the art that goes into producing beautiful hair. I consider it an honour that I am able to make clients happy with the skills I have obtained and that continue to grow.
I always enjoy doing courses and training to better my skills, which lead me to becoming a qualified barber in 2023. As of late, I have been doing more cutting courses alongside colour courses, so I can learn new techniques to use in the salon - no matter the hair type or style.
I have the privilege to be able to teach high school students about the ins and outs of hairdressing and barbering; while also being able to give them a but of an insight into the hair industry.  
I look forward to meeting  everybody that sits in my chair, and I promise you one of the best head massages you've ever had.
You'll find me in salon Wednesday - Saturday.

Angie Madry
EMERGING STYLIST

Hi, I'm Angie! I started working with Belinda in September 2022 as a Salon Assistant and began my apprenticeship in December.
My love for hairdressing began when I was very young and continues to grow everyday!
Throughout my apprenticeship I have been able to learn from Australia's leading educators and completed many courses. 
I have also had  the privilege of representing NSW at the 2025 Worldskills Nationals in Brisbane. 
You can find me in salon Tuesday - Saturday, and I look forward to seeing you there!
   

Chloe Naumovski
EMERGING STYLIST

​Hello, my name is Chloe! I've been working at Belinda's since October 2023, after starting my apprenticeship at another salon where I received little to no training. 
Since joining Belinda's I've learned so much and loved every second of it!
Hairdressing has been my dream since I was young, from playing with my dolls hair to having clients in my chair, it truly feels like an honour. I enjoy every aspect of hairdressing, especially colouring and I'm excited to keep learning and growing in my career. 
You'll find me in the salon from Tuesday to Saturday, and I hope to see you there!

Mia Fenton
EMERGING STYLIST

Hi, my name is Mia. My passion for Hairdressing began when I was just 11 years old, when I spent every Saturday and school holidays working in the salon. Being surrounded with creativity, passion and connections I knew I wanted to do this for a living.
In 2023 I started my first year of my apprenticeship with my Nan and in the following year I moved to Belinda's.
Since moving here I've learnt so much and been provided with so many amazing opportunities. I love all aspects of Hairdressing, from creating fun new looks to making people feel better about themselves. You can find me in the salon Tuesday - Saturday!
